Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal highlighted India’s strong potential at the India-France Business Conference held in Paris on Tuesday. He spoke about the many opportunities available for French businesses in India. Goyal explained how India’s skilled workforce and business-friendly policies make it a great place for investment and partnerships.
Sharing his thoughts on social media, Goyal said he was honoured to speak at the event, where Indian and French companies came together. He talked about the “India Opportunity” – a term he used to describe India’s growing economy, skilled workers, and government support for business. He encouraged French companies to work closely with Indian partners and build stronger trade and investment ties.
Goyal also joined the India-France CEO Forum Small Group Meeting with French Minister Laurent Saint-Martin. During the discussion with top business leaders from both countries, Goyal said that more and more French companies are showing interest in India’s growth. He talked about how both countries can work together in areas like artificial intelligence, education, startups, and new technologies.
Later in the day, Goyal had a bilateral meeting with WTO Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. In their discussion, he stressed India’s support for a fair and equal trading system. He also said that global trade rules should be updated to better reflect the needs of developing countries.
Overall, the visit helped strengthen ties between India and France. It showed the growing trust and cooperation between the two nations, especially in business and trade.
